Kids First Awards and Recognitions
2011: Senator John Chafee Community Conservation Leadership Honors for Outstanding Community Conservation Project: Environment Council of RI - Annual awards given to projects undertaken and completed by local organizations that provide significant environmental benefits to the community and the state. 2010: Governor's Wellness Award
The Governor's Awards for Wellness Innovation program recognizes outstanding organizations for their creative wellness policies and programs.
The RI Farm to School Project won in the category of Community and Faith-Based Organizations.

2010: Champions In Action Award, presented by Citizens Bank
The Champions In Action program is an initiative of Citizens Bank and is designed to reward the nonprofit organizations that work hard to champion change in Rhode Island communities.

2009: The Healthy Youth for a Healthy Future Champion Award, awarded by the acting Surgeon General
2008: The Congressional Hunger Center for a Victory Against Hunger Award, presented to the RI Farm to School Project through a nomination by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse.
Presented by the Congressional Hunger Center and the Victory Wholesale group, the award was given for our efforts in fighting hunger through coordinating an innovative and statewide Farm to School program.
2007: The Golden Tractor Award, presented to Executive Director, Dorothy Brayley, from the RI Farm Bureau.
This award is given to people who are not farmers but who work to promote local farming.
2006: The James E. Carney Public Health Legislation Award, Leadership in School Health and Nutrition
2003: The Rhode Island Public Health Association Bertram A. Yaffee Award
2002: The Healthy Schools Healthy Kids Award by the RI Department of Education and Health
